There are 15 returning members and eight new Democrats on the House Agriculture committee, almost all of whom are newly elected.

Representative Angie Craig (D-Minnesota), who is now the lead Democrat—called the ranking member—on the House Agriculture Committee, announced the committee’s roster of Democrats for 2025. There are 15 returning members and eight new Democrats on the committee, almost all of whom are newly elected. Several senior members of the committee who have led on agricultural issues in the past were not on the list, including organic farmer Chellie Pingree (D-Maine).
